In Baton Rouge,La this morning it;s overcast and the sun is not out. That might be a blessing in disguise knowing it will not be 95 degrees at game time when LSU vs South Carolina play football today in Tiger Stadium. South Carolina will be the home team today in Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge,La. The city of Baton Rouge welcomes South Carolina and their fans and hope they have a fun home-coming visit to Louisiana. It’s interesting that in 2005, ten years ago LSU had to travel to ASU, Tempe, Arizona for a home game out in Arizona to take on the Sundevils. I had a chance to buy tickets and visit Arizona from southern California. I remember back in 2005 and seeing all the LSU Fans in Tempe,Az and it was Les Miles is 1st season as headcoach of the LSU Tigers. I remember sitting there in the stands and Arizona went up on LSU, and pretty much led the entire game until LSU roared back and scored 28 poonts in the 4th qt to win the game 35-31.
Today South Carolina comes in with a record 2-3 and 0-3 in the SEC, LSU comes in 4-0, 2-0 in the SEC, and no.5 in some polls. Booger Macfarland said LSU qb Booger Macfarland will complete 20 passes, if that’s the case Booger, Harris will have to attempt about 35 passes. I don’t see Les Miles throwing the ball 35 times today, maybe 25, but LSU will keep it on the ground to grind the South Carolina defense with Heisman hopeful Leonard Fournette have a big day on the ground. I wonder when Coach Miles and Cam Cameron gonna dump off some screen passes to Fournette. Fournette can break one anytime he wants to, but to take a screen pass and go the distance with all those blockers in front of you and the field spread out, interesting.
South Carolina Coach Spurrier was asked how to stop Leonard Fournette and he chuckle, but said hopefully we gonna try to stop him before he gets tot he line of scrimmage, saying Fournette will get his yards, and hopefully the can force some punts.
There you have it sports fans, Dailycollegefootball.com will have full coverage after the game with photos and commentary, and some videos from the student section. Tickets are still available, as 38,000 tickets are already sold, and more fans are expected to buy more tickets before game time. Tiger Stadium seats 102,000, but alot of people from Louisiana have planned weddings, vacations, and fishing trips knowing LSU would be out of town. I hope about 75,000 show up to support the South Carolina vs LSU Game, proceeds go to South Carolina in Columbia to recover from the flooding and lots of rain that has relocated the game to Louisiana.
