There is severe weather in Baton Rouge today so the LSU vs Stony Brook game has been postpone til tonight. One team will be heading toward Omaha after tonight. The Baton Rouge Super has been a battle for both teams, LSU pitching vs Stony Brook hitting, although LSU Tigers hit 3 decisive home runs in the 1st game to keep the Tigers in hunt. PAUL MAINIERI slept on a decision to bring in Ace Kevin Gausman in for the 1st game that went to 12 innings, Gausman threw 12 pitches, and then LSU’s Mason Katz drove in the winning run. Kevin Gausman who was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles forth pick overall in the draft finish the first game, and came in and pitch the next game. Gausman started out really well in the 1st, 2 innings he recorded 4 strikeouts, but had a rocky 3rd inning giving up two runs, and then gave up a home run to Courtney in the 5th inning. The weather has been a big factor for both teams, but favors the hitting on each team. LSU has been plagued by double plays, if you are hitting into double plays it’s very hard to score runs.Tyler Johnson had a big game in game 2 for Stony Brook as he held LSU Tiger Bats to 1 run, and 3 hits. The Seawolves pitchers have been throwing alot off speed pitches, but as George W. Bush said on T.V. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice… you can’t get fooled again, I am sure the LSU Batters will catch on to this off speed pitching as they take the field tonight. The game postpone til 7pm which is about a 28 hour break from yesterdays last pitch might favor the home team which will be LSU, since they will have the last at bat, and it might come down to last bat to finalize this series. The weather has not been good over the south this weekend, Florida and North Carolina State are awaiting a lighting delay up so they can resume action in their game, the Gators lead the game 1-0 in the top of the 3rd.
