LSU Basketball ran into a competitive Tennessee Basketball team last night as the Tigers lose to the volunteers 68-50. LSU was in the lead early in the game 14-12, but McRae and company took over and took a 30 -20 lead, and then extended the lead to 38 to 24 by halftime. The bright spots for the tigers was LSU: J. Mickey 14 Pts, 4 Reb, 3 Ast, 1 Stl, 5 Blk, and McRae for Tennessee: had 19 Pts, 2 Reb, 5 Ast, 1 Stl, 1 Blk. LSU guards had a rough night combining for 7 pts, 5 Ast, 1 Stl, and 2 To. Johnny Jones will need more production from Hickey and Stringer if LSU is gonna do well down the stretch. LSU will need more height as well especially at the guard position when they face Kentucky and Arkansas.
