LSU Coach Orgeron on the Coaches media tele-conference

At the Coaches Media Tele-conference today LSU Coach Ed Orgeron started the morning off talking about recruiting and doing it everyday. He says Dave Aranda is the smartest coach on the field, he started coaching in a division 3 school, he knows every position on the field. Dave would go spend alot of money on notebooks and not have too money left over for food in his younger days. Orgeron said, he always wonder how Dave would take the lot of notes, with so much writing, that would result as his power,  his knowledge and work ethic. Orgeron has learned to let the staff manage their positions, you just have to let them run their positions. Coach O talked about you can’t treat quarterbacks like defense of lineman, every player is different. Pete Jenkins is on the LSU Coaching staff, and he coached with Pete Carol at USC, and Nick Saban. Orgeron has said, Pete is loyal as a like a big bulldog. He knows everyone in the country, but very loyal to LSU. Jenkins has giving ED information on Saban. Funny cause Saban was asked this morning if Jenkins was coming around to get some coaching secrets, and Nick Saban responded that’s why we invite them over hopefully to get some from them…LOL. Pete Jenkins has helped Coach O change his methods at USC from asst coach to head coach, because you get to the point where you let the Asst. Coaches do their jobs, and that’s why they are there. Coach O said he would comeback to Louisiana to recruit for Syracuse wearing his Syracuse shirts, in Louisiana back in the 90’s. Coach O has always wanted to coach at LSU especially driving over the Mississippi Bridge looking over to Tiger Stadium wanting to return to Death Valley. Coach O has said many of times Leonard  Fournette is the best player in the game in college football, show me someone better, he says,  Fournette is  motivated to play Alabama, he wants success vs Alabama. Both teams expect to have great execution, it’s gonna be a battle. Coach Orgeron team is 3-0 since he has taken over, I would say his LSU Teams kinda of remind me of Pete Carrols team in 2000 to thru 2010 when they used to steam roll other teams. I spent time in LA during the Pete Carrol Era going to games at the LA Coliseum and saw alot of blowout games their in LA.
