According to the NFL Mock Draft LSU Tigers will have 2 players going in the top 4. Safety Jamal Adams is expected to go no.2 to the San Francisco 49ERS and running back Leonard Fournette is expected to go no.4 to the Jacksonville Jaguars. A big day for LSU Football.
A amazing person yesterday at LSU Pro Day known as Little JJ stole the show. Little JJ even took the podium in front of the media and took questions. What a inspirational boy who was palling around with Leonard Fournette and Jamal Adams. Much success to you Little JJ and thanks for the joy yesterday you provided at the LSU Pro Day.
The biggest news of the day was Jamal Adams running a 4.3 in the 40 yard dash,projected to go in the top 5 of the draft. Leonard Fournette also turned in a good workout and dropping his weight to 228 lbs. J.J. Robertson pretty much stole the show on the sidelines, he was very outgoing and talkative, a friend of Leonard Fournette and Jamal Adams. LSU track star from LSU Jordan Marcell who might of been clocked at 4.27 yesterday, whom won 2 NCAA Titles in Track, also turned in a good workout. LSU Top receivers Travin Dural and Malachi Dupre were on hand when impressive times.TE’s Desean Smith and Collin Jeter turned in a good workout. They say maybe 4 LSU tigers might go in the first round of the draft, should be a good draft this year.
LSU PLAYERS PUT UP IMPRESSIVE NUMBERS AT PRO DAY
BATON ROUGE – Jamal Adams was clocked at 4.33 seconds in the 40-yard dash and Leonard Fournette weighed in at 228 pounds, 12 pounds lighter than at the NFL Combine, as two of the many highlights for LSU football here Wednesday at Pro Day at the LSU Indoor Football Facility.
Seventeen LSU football players, along with one standout sprinter from the Tiger track team, took part in the event that drew over 125 NFL personnel, including head coaches Sean Payton (Saints), Mike Tomlin (Steelers), Todd Bowles (Jets), Jim Caldwell (Lions) and Mike Mularkey (Titans).
“Today was a tremendous day for LSU football and the LSU brand,” LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said. “We are proud of the 18 young men that worked out. All of them did a tremendous job. Austin Thomas, our general manager, did a tremendous job of organizing the whole day. Talking to a lot of the NFL guys, this has been the best pro day of the whole season, so we’re happy about that.
“Any time we can have the NFL on our campus, it’s a big day for LSU. A couple of guys really stood out and worked out well, but for Jamal Adams to run a 4.33 (40-yard dash), it was a fantastic day for him. Leonard (Fournette) weighing in at 228 pounds, I know a lot of the guys are excited about that. He looked great in his workouts. We’re getting a lot of positive feedback and a lot of guys really love Leonard.
“Malachi Dupre did an excellent job today in his workouts. Davon Godchaux looked big and strong out there. He did a great job in his workouts. It was the first time that scouts have seen Lewis Neal and he did a tremendous job along with Tashawn Bower. Duke Riley continues to impress.
“It was just a tremendous day for LSU football.”
Tiger offensive lineman Josh Boutte impressed the scouts with 28 reps in the 225-pound bench press to lead all LSU players. Defensive end Lewis Neal followed with 23 reps in the bench followed by defensive tackle Davon Godchaux with 22.
Adams, along with track standout Cyril Grayson, led all players in the 40-yard dash with a time of 4.33. Other top times for LSU in the 40-yard dash include wide receiver Malachi Dupre (4.46), cornerback Tre’Davious White (4.47) and wide receiver Travin Dural (4.57).
Neal led all Tigers with a 36” vertical leap. He was followed by defensive back Rickey Jefferson, who leaped 35 1/2 “. Jefferson, who missed most of the season with a lower leg injury, proved to be back at full speed with a 4.58 time in the 40, 17 reps in the bench press and a 10’ leap in the broad jump.
Another standout performance came from defensive end/outside linebacker Tashawn Bower, who at 250 pounds, ran a 4.73 40-yard dash, jumped 34” in the vertical and recorded a 10’4” leap in the broad jump.

BATON ROUGE – Cowboy Mouth, one of Louisiana’s most popular bands, will highlight the Rock N’ Roar Block Party leading up to kickoff for LSU’s National L Club Spring Game presented by Tony Chachere’s on Saturday, April 22.
Kickoff for the spring game is set for 7 p.m. in Tiger Stadium and admission to the contest is free. Fans are invited to campus early that day to take part in the Rock N’ Roar Block Party on North Stadium Drive, which starts at 3 p.m.
The Rock n’ Roar Block Party on North Stadium Drive is a free event that features Cowboy Mouth along with activities for the kids. The block party will also feature giveaways from LSU’s corporate partners.
Fans are reminded to pick up entry forms to be entered to win the many giveaways at Baton Rouge area McDonald’s, T.J. Ribs, Tio Javi’s, Academy Sports + Outdoor, and select Chevron gas stations prior to game day. Entry forms can be dropped off as you enter Tiger Stadium on the day of the spring game.
The block party will feature a dunking booth, inflatables along with all types of food and drinks. Cowboy Mouth takes the stage at 3:40 p.m. and will play until 5:40 on North Stadium Drive near Mike the Tiger’s habitat.
The LSU football team will walk down “Victory Hill” and into Tiger Stadium at approximately 5:45 that afternoon.
LSU students will have the opportunity to participate in a punt, pass, & kick competition in Tiger Stadium prior to kickoff beginning at 5 p.m. with a qualifying round taking place at LSU Student Practice on Thursday, April 20.
Kickoff for the contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on the LSU Sports Radio Network and can be heard in the Baton Rouge area on 104.5/104.9 FM as well as on the internet at www.LSUsports.net/live.
The game will also be televised on the SEC Network.

LSU TO HOST PRO TIMING DAY ON WEDNESDAY
BATON ROUGE – LSU will welcome representatives from every NFL franchise, including eight general managers and five head coaches, as the Tigers host their annual Pro Timing Day at the Charles McClendon Practice Facility on Wednesday morning.
LSU’s Pro Day, which annually draws over 100 NFL Personnel and another 100 media to cover the event, starts at 8:30 a.m. with player measurements. At 9:30, the participants will take part in the vertical jump, broad jump and bench press in the newly remodeled LSU weight room.
Players will then be timed in various running drills, including the 40-yard dash, the 3-cone drill and the 60-yard shuttle. The day wraps up with each positon group going through a series of on-field drills directed by the NFL scouts.
The SEC Network will televise the event live beginning at 10 a.m. CT. The NFL Network and ESPN’s SportsCenter will also be on hand for reports throughout the day.
Among those former LSU players expected to take part in Pro Day on Wednesday include projected first round picks in safety Jamal Adams, running back Leonard Fournette and cornerback Tre’Davious White and All-America center Ethan Pocic along with second team All-America linebacker Kendell Beckwith.
