LSU pulled out a win on saturday in Tiger Stadium as they held on to beat the Florida Gators 35-28,on some good defense late in the game and a late fake field goal as the place holder Brad Kragthorpe threw a short pass to place kicker Trent Domingue as he scored the go ahead touchdown to put LSU ahead 35-28 late in the game. Kicker Domingue took the pass from Kragthorpe, bobble the ball a few times and scooted around the corner 16 yards for the td. I never seen a kicker move that fast, and LSU kicker went untouch in the endzone for the final score of the game. Leonard Fournette had another big game as he rushed for 180 yards and 2 tds, also the Gator defense was hitting Fournette after the play was over and a few times push him back and threw him to the ground. According to Coach Miles the whistle should have been blown and the play stopped. It seemed like the referees were not present during the game on these plays, and also the refs picked up 2 flags after dropping them, one of the flags, LSU qb Harris got knocked out-of-bounds, and a flag was thrown but the refs picked up the flag saying no call on the play. LSU Coach Miles has filed some complaints to the SEC Conference disputes over Florida Defense hitting Leonard Fournette after the play, Coach Miles is waiting for the SEC to get back to him in the next couple of days. I was on the sidelines and was wondering, wow the Gator Defense was really hitting alot of LSU players after the play was over during the game, well that’s probably why Fournette started swinging at some of the Gator players during the game, and brusing them when he got a chance. Malachi Dupre had a big game with 4 reps 115 and 2 tds, and QB Brandon Harris completed 13 passes with 202 yards and 2 tds, LSU wr Dural had 4 catches for 65 yards as well. The LSU secondary was very busy in the last 6 minutes of the game, after giving up 271 yards in the air, and 2 tds, the LSU Defense put the clamps on the Gators. LSU DB Dwayne Thomas had the biggest defense play of the game as he rake the ball out of the Florida wr’s hand in the endzone late in the game that saved a touchdown, big time play for sure.LSU DE Lewis Neal had 3 sacks on the night and was the SEC Defensive player of the week. Florida Gators looked really good on offense especially with their backup qb Treon Harris completed 17 completed passes and 271 yards and 2 tds, also he had 20 yards rushing on 20 carries. Florida wr Callaway had the most yards in receiving with 100 yards on 3 catches also he had a return punt for a 72 yard touchdown, which if you go back and look at the replay you can see 3 Florida playing pushing the LSU players in the back downfield around the ball. I am very surprised that touchdown didn’t get called back. Wideout Brandon Powell had 4 catches for 42 yards but 2 of the catches were for touchdowns. Florida played a very good game and Coach Mcelwain coached a very good game, but the Mad Hatter Coach Miles pulls out a special play to ice the game. A fake field goal took place for the 2007 game as LSU beat South Carolina, as Colt David ran a touchdown in to the endzone on a fake field goal, the same year LSU went on to win the National Title by beating Ohio State 38-24 in 2007. This might be the year where LSU meets up with Ohio State again in Pasadena, California. Back to the Future.
