The Oregon Fans have made t shirts saying bring on Bama. Oh my they are asking Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide to come to California for the BCS Title Game, amazing. Oregon still has Stanford to play on the road, then Oregon State and the Pac 12 Title Game, so I think if they win out they can face Alabama in the title game, of course Alabama would have to win out, but LSU might disrupt that by knocking off Alabama. I still think every top ten team will have one loss.
I am sure we will see more upsets today since last weekend brought on many upsets. I think Missouri being no.4 in the BCS Polls will fall to South Carolina today, especially the Tigers beating the gators last weekend will slip up, I mean this is not basketball so Missouri being in the top 5 will fall soon, they never been here. I am sure they have a very good offense but some how some way Clowney will make a statement game today and will bring the Missouri Tigers back to earth. I don’t think Oregon will struggle with UCLA today, and they won’t be looking ahead to Stanford as UCLA suffers their 2nd loss. I know on College Game Day show the Oregon fans are saying bring on Bama, sometimes you get what you wish for, but Oregon has to win out in order to play for the BCS Title and FSU has to lose because right now FSU are sitting at the no.2 position in the BCS Polls. Oh by the way the Oregon Mascot is really Donald Duck…..LOL. Oregon fans better let their team do the talking instead of the fans, asking to bring on Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide, you might just get what you wished for, and we all know that Notre Dame wished to be in the title game last year but got blown out.I seriously think Oregon should come over to the SEC and they can play in the SEC East and they can play LSU,Florida, Georgia,South Carolina and Alabama every year, oh my that would be a rough schedule for Donald Duck.
A big day for upsets not to mention there was a full moon out tonight. We can start with Tennessee knocking off no.11 South Carolina,23 to 21, Auburn beating no.7 Texas A&M,45 -41, also Stanford knocking off undefeated UCLA,24 to 10 and unranked Ole Miss shocks no.6 LSU 27 to 24. The Florida State Football team put a whoop on Clemson in front of their home crowd 51 to 14. I must say that would be the biggest win of the day, which overshadows Ole Miss win over LSU. Florida State looks like the front-runner to face no.1 Alabama, I would go ahead and put them no.2 after beating Clemson in South Carolina. A product of LSU football would be Jimbo Fisher a former assitant coach for LSU has directed a really good Seminoles team. QB Winston had a great game passing over 300 yrds and 3 td’s. I don’t see Ohio State challenging Alabama, but Florida State has put up numbers tonight and alot of defense to stop Clemson in their stadium. If I was the AP I would put the Noles at no.2 just go ahead and put them up at the top and send both Alabama and Florida State to California for the BCS Title Game.
Louisville gets upset by Central Florida, and the cardinals blew a 28 to 7 lead. Amazing as Louisville was gonna walk through there unranked schedule to the BCS Title Game but UCF from Florida had other ideas. Blake Bortles threw for 250 yards and two TD’s, and Stanbach and Storm Johnson the backs for UCF combine for 3 td’s and 174 yards. Teddy Bridgewater a heisman hopeful passed for 341 yards and two touchdowns.
Top Performers
Passing: T. Bridgewater (LOU) – 341 YDS, 2 TD
Rushing: D. Brown (LOU) – 12 CAR, 88 YDS, 2 TD
Receiving: E.Rogers (UCF) – 10 REC, 95 YDS, 1 TD
LSU head coach not fond of post game question following 17-6 win over Florida 10-12-13. Reporter says LSU was “hammer” this year vs Gators, “nail” last season in 14-6 loss at “The Swamp”.
Professional boxer Sugar Ray Leonard joins the debate with ESPN First Take’s Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless to discuss his historic fight with Roberto Duran.
I remember I was 15 years old when this fight took place, and it was in my home state Louisiana. My dads favorite boxer was Sugar Ray Leonard, he enjoyed watching him box and win titles.
LSU putting the clamps on the Gators today, knowing the Gators D was very good overall but it’s the LSU Defense putting the clamps on the Florida Offense. J.C. Copeland and Anthony Jennings scored both TD’s for the Tigers. Jeremy Hill ran all day on the Gators with 21 carries and 121 yards. LSU wins 17 to 3.
ESPN College Game Day is highlighting Baylor at this moment, but even if Baylor goes undefeated they will not go to the BCS Title Game, nope not even close. It’s still dark in Seattle for game day,LOL. I am glad we are in the south because at least the sun comes up quicker. Baylor plays the Sooners, the cowboys and the Red Raiders. Well I must say they will lose one of those games.
ESPN College Game Day is talking about the SEC vs PAC 12, no contest, no contest. Alabama, LSU, Georgia, and Texas AM are on the same level as Stanford and Oregon. There only 2 teams in the Pac 12 that are good, I know UCLA and Washington are trying to get in the mix, but you have to win more games, and bowl games. They are still waiting on the sun in Washington…… night-time in College Game Day….
The breakdown of the top ten or who will proceed to the BSC Title will be a lot easier than it looks. DCF would like to explain the break down, amazing discovery 1 year before the playoffs we get to witness another disfigured season, but it’s not disfigured yet. If we start with the Pac 12 Oregon and Stanford play each other and one team will lose, and one of those teams will come up with a loss before the bowl games start. An undefeated Louisville, and Ohio State team will not leap over a one loss SEC team for the BCS Title game. The toughest team the Ohio State will play will be Michigan and that’s about it, Louisville plays no ranked team this year so they seemed to be playing a Boise State schedule, and we all know where Boise State ended up at the end of the season, perhaps an Orange Bowl Berth at best. The ACC teams look really competitive but will have to play each other for a chance at a BCS Game. If every conference has a one loss record besides Ohio State, a one loss SEC will represent itself in the BCS Title Game. If Alabama goes on to beat LSU, and Georgia for the SEC Title Game they will face an undefeated Ohio State team in California. If LSU runs the table and beats Bama and Georgia they will in turn play an undefeated Ohio State Team in California, my my my, DCF always wanted an excuse to go back to visit California.
