LSU Tigers put on a show last night going up 21 to 0 in the 1st quarter against Auburn. Being at the recent games you think you were at the Kent State or UAB game, but that was short-lived as Auburn scored a few touchdowns before cutting the lead to 28 to 14. Star RB Jeremy Hill came out running as he galloped thru the Auburn Defense for a 38 yrd TD, and the Tigers took the field again as the LSU defense stopped Auburn again, and Jeremy Hill ran thru the middle again for a 10 yrd TD. J.C. Copeland added a 1 yrd TD and the race was on. Early in the 3rd quarter Jeremy Hill added another TD as he ran 6 yrds to complete a 3 TD night with 183 yards, and he had a 54 yarder to go with his runs. Zach Mettenberger threw for 229 yards, 14/22, 1 TD and 1 interception, but the weather had a effect on throwing the ball. LSU’s defense came to play as they only allowed 1 TD in the second half against Auburn, things were looking alittle shaky as Auburn drove the field a few times and ended up stalling with turnovers and at the end the LSU defense stopped them as DE Jordan Allen sacked the Auburn QB Nick Marshall for a 8 yard loss. Marshall was 17/33 for 224 yards passing and he had 46 yards on the ground. Auburn’s Tre Mason had 132 yards and 2 TD’s on the night. LSU gets ready to take on 10th ranked Georgia Bulldogs as the Tigers travel up to Athens next weekend. I am sure Zach Mettenburger wants to go up to Georgia and have a very productive game, and perhaps give the Bulldogs fans something to remember as LSU goes up to get a win. The toughest game of the season for LSU Football is next weekend, tougher than Alabama and Texas AM, if they knock off Georgia they will be in the driver seat and in control of their progress to the BCS Championship.

DCF is at the Auburn vs LSU football game, we will have photos for you at halftime. It’s raining in Tiger Stadium, but looks like it wants to clear up. Being here is such a football atmosphere, these two teams are big rivals and it should be a good game to watch. LSU has a serious running attach with Jeremy Hill and Alfred Blue leading the way, I would say the edge has to go to the Tigers…., the LSU Tigers, yep LSU should win by a few touchdowns. I met some Auburn fans and they are very friendly that’s for sure, very class act fans. Good luck to both teams as the game will play on ESPN at 645 pm central time.

DCF will wait til halftime to give another prediction of the Chiefs and Eagles. To let Andy Reid go up 10pts on a payback is not good for the Eagles. The Eagles seemed to be on the I know you did Andy Reid wrong is not good for the Eagles. I don’t see the Eagles scoring in the 1st half, especially with the Chiefs 3rd rank defense in the league. I am gonna go out on a limb and say the Chiefs 24 the Eagles 20.

The Chiefs are on the 8 yrd line.The Eagles defense is stuffing the Chiefs run. Gosh the Eagles sack Wilson in the back field as the Chiefs are gonna settle for a field goal. DCF predicted early that the Chiefs will win 31 to 28, but the Chiefs offense is suspect. Eric Berry picks off a floater by Michael Vick and returns a interception for 38 yards for Touchdown. Amazing. I believe the 3RD rank Chiefs defense from the 90’s is back.

On Oct. 8, 1988 LSU used a late touchdown pass from Tommy Hodson to Eddie Fuller to upset No. 4 Auburn, 7-6, in Tiger Stadium. The play caused such a thunderous explosion from the 79,341 fans in Tiger Stadium that the LSU Geology Department registered vibrations on a seismograph machine at the exact moment the touchdown was scored. To this day the game is known far and wide as “The Earthquake Game” and it is another example of the legendary games that occur on any given Saturday Night in Death Valley.

St Elmo’s Fire and the working world of today.
I am sitting here watching St Elmo’s Fire, interesting 80’s movie. Demi Moore is very young, and Judd Nelson looks like a teenager, not too mention Emilio Estevez. Auburn Tigers are coming into town this weekend to play the LSU Tigers, would be fun to see the mascots fight each other. I know there is a extreme rivalry between these two teams because they do not like each other, nope they sure don’t. Auburn fans are very nice people because they are from Alabama, but when it comes to playing LSU they get alittle fired up, much like the players. The storms are coming in this weekend starting friday, lots of rain and suppose to continue into the weekend, but it never rains in Tiger Stadium. LSU is coming to play, if they score 21 pts in the 1st qt it is gonna be a long night for Auburn, but the LSU Defense needs to stop Auburn in the process. I guess everyone will have to wait til saturday night at Death Valley.

Aj Green had some up and downs growing up with losing his brother and also losing his coach. I saw a clip of the Aj Green story and it was very emotional, especially to lose his 9 year brother in a car accident. Mr. Green also lost his coach who was a fire fighter Captain Louis Mulkey who was a mentor to him. Aj Green juggled a lot when he grew up to help his eye and hand coordination.

A 58 yrd run by Jeremy Hill paved the way for LSU Tigers as they beat Kent State 45 to 13. Hill had a big night with 2 tds and 119 yrds. Being at the game and seeing the Tigers dominate Kent State, especially in the 1 and 2nd quarter when LSU had a 31 to 7 lead was a sight to see. Zach Mettenberger had a big game with 272 and 3 touchdown passes, Jarvis Landry had 2 td’s and Odell Beckham,Jr scored one td. The defense did a good job as it contained the Kent State offense with 13 points. Kent State punter Melchiori kept Odell back pedaling as he hit a 62 yrd punt, and average 40 per punt. LSU prepares for Auburn as the War Eagles roll into Tiger Stadium this saturday. The Tigers are getting ready to play the Tigers as LSU sits at no.6 in the nation.
