The mosquitoes in the South…… and AFLAC
Since being back in the Bayou State, it is a Bayou State, there is water everywhere. I never seen so much water in my whole life. The food is good here, and the family atmosphere is here. I seen some really big cock roaches, lizards, aligators, and lots of mosquitoes, which I have been bit from sitting out by the river. I have red bumps all over my legs. Time to get some off or just stay in side. Being back is a lot of fun, catching up with old friends and family, and eating good cajun food, excellent.

30 for 30: Elway to Marino
Amazing year of quarterbacks that came from this draft, one of the best Drafts ever. Elway to Marino, Marino was 9-3 his senior year, but dropped off in the N.F.L. Draft. John Elway got drafted 1st even though he had a losing season at Stanford University, Elway will always will be a part of “The Play” which Elway was on the losing end as the Cal Bears beat Stanford on a last second touchdown with about 8 laterals. The Bears scored the winning touchdown as the Cal player ran over the trombone player in the end zone. Elway basically was drafted 1st by the Baltimore Colts but John Elway told them he would go play for the New York Yankees, so Baltimore decided to take Elway. On 2 May Colts owner Robert Irsay and Accorsi agreed to trade Elway for Hinton, backup quarterback Mark Herrmann, and a first-round pick in the 1984 draft. I found out something today that was really interesting is that Bill Walsh entertained the idea to trade Montana for Elway during the draft of 1983, later on as we know Montana and Elway played each other in the 1989 Super Bowl and the 49ers won 55 to 10, that was a wallop. Elway would later go on to win 2 Super Bowls as the Broncos beat the Packers and the Falcons back to back Super Bowls. Jim Kelly was hoping the Buffalo Bills would not draft him, well sometimes you get what you don’t wish for, the Bills picked him up in the 14th pick, but he decided to go to the Houston Gamblers, the newly formed USFL. The Patriots took Jim Essian, and the New York Jets took Ken O’Brien. I grew up watching all these famous quarterbacks every sunday afternoon, I would wait for church to get over so I could run down the street and make it home for the 1st game of the season. The Miami Dolphins was my favorite team and they selected Dan Marino with the last quarterback of the draft. Paul Zimmerman said I don’t know who is down there to coach Dan Marino who is gonna teach him to be a better quarterback, Chris Berman quoted he is going down to Miami to play for Don Shula he will be fine. Dan Marino had never won a super bowl but holds a lot of records for N.F.L Football.

That’s alot of records for the last quarterback drafted in the NFL. Dan Marino got one of the highest offers in the NFL and worth a lot of dollars . Dan Marino could of ended up as Raider or Steeler, but played for the Dolphins and will go down as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in the N.F.L.
The Great Gatsby
Since my move back to Southern Louisiana its a good move so far. If you go to the movies anytime soon, put the Great Gatsby on your list it’s a fasinating movie. Leonado Dicaprio, Carrie Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton and the whole cast did a great job. Especially with the soundtacks with Beyonce, Jack White and Lana Del Rey. The summer belongs to The Great Gatsby Movie and perhaps the year.
