It was a fun time in New Roads as we walked down to the parade and caught beads. The parade was held off for about 30 mins because of a passing rainstorm but it soon cleared up so the floats could start rolling and passing out beads. There were all kinds of floats Johhny B. Goode, the wizard of Oz,the Krewe of Les Miles, Jims Bar and grill was there as well, and many other floats.
Forever A Tiger – LSU Experience 2013
Players have come from all over the country to play at LSU. In this video, former Tiger players talk about the family atmosphere at LSU, playing in the SEC and in front of the great fans in Tiger Stadium.
I still remember a game I went to back in 1985 when I was a student at LSU. LSU played Alabama in Tiger Stadium and LSU fell behind 14 to 0 in the 1st half, but LSU would come back in the second half and tie the game up as the game will end in a tie 14 to 14, it was a day game because of TV coverage, every Tiger fan knows if it was a night game the Tigers would of rolled the Tide. Well, I guess we will have to wait til the 2013 season. GEAUX Tigers.
Another year of football recruiting on the high school level to the college level.
Well, college football fans we have another recruiting day over and out,and as everyone talks about each player choosing their university to play and to help that school advance towards a bowl game or a chance at the BCS Title.The interesting fact it doesn’t matter what university gets these players are those players it’s how they mesh together with the team,if they don’t play with the team it doesn’t matter what university gets 26 blue chips like Alabama,they still have to play in a team setting.Thats why I don’t put too much stock in the recruiting phase, just like in years past when USC used to be no.1 for along time the results it’s produce, the results are on the field and who makes the big plays and wins ball games not the best players in the country.It’s like the Los Angels Lakers signing all those big names if they don’t make it to the NBA Finals the whole season will be a bust,same as high school players getting recruited if they don’t produce then the colleges don’t win the big games.I always said it better to wait for the freshmen to develop and to go from there and to see the results.Robert Nkemdiche who chose Ole Miss so he can play on his brothers team still has to make the big sacks as a defensive end, if a senior lineman keeps him away from the QB the whole game,well we get the picture.Speaking of USC they were limited to 13 top recruits normally they are in the top ten,but they finished at no.14 in the recruiting.According to Pat Haden,coach Lane Kiffin has one year to produce or the coach will be job hunting,Haden didn’t appreciate the last performance and loss for the Trojans to end the season.As I said before the high school recruiting will become a big deal if the freshmen produce which normally they don’t because there are sophomores, juniors,seniors,and 5th year seniors coming back to play next year,so freshmen get in line.

The lights went out in New Orleans,Super Bowl 47, Ravens 34 49ers 31.
So it’s amazing that the Super Bowl in New Orleans had no electricity after the Ravens ran a 108 punt return by Jones,amazing.Talk about stop the blowout, after the electricity was restored in the Superdome the Ravens did not get back on track, and the 49ers went on a roll and scored 25 points, if it wasn’t for the Ravens with a clever play in the end by the Raven punter Koch as he dance around in the endzone for about 8 seconds before being chase out of the endzone and the 49ers got a safety, and then Koch the Ravens punter punted the ball down the field to end the game. Amazing beginning and ending to the game. I would say only in New Orleans with a blackout, did someone throw the switch….lol.

I been living in Chicago suburbs for about 2 years going thru my second winter, the weather person said yesterday watch out for slippery ice, because it rained on sunday afternoon and the cold weather freeze the rain, boy did it ever freeze the rain, I got a full meaning of what slippery ice means. I walked out to get my laptop in the car, I notice how the ground was very shinny, what I didn’t realize it was slippery so as I am walking along both of my feet went straight up in the air and I landed on my back, a whole new meaning of slippery ice in Illinois…..LOL. So if you ever visit Chicago during the winter time watch out for the slippery ice. Another thing to remember if you play basketball make sure you play on a regular basis and don’t try to go out and act like Kobe Bryant or Carlos Boozer if you haven’t worked out for 3 weeks because of the flu season, I did just that and got back spasms for 2 days straight so make sure you work out on a regular basis and the Icy Patch does not do so well you have to put heat on your back it does the trick and calms down your muscles and puts them back in order. The Chicago Bears hire Marc Trestman as head coach
I came across a few pictures and I thought to myself Marc Trestman sure looks like Leonard from the Big Bang Theory so I thought lets put the pics together. Marc Trestman does have a look a like. I do like Trestman’s approach he does have a humble approach of how the players will have towards each other and everyone a part of the Chicago Bears Organization man or woman. I think that is a great start, I think also Trestman knows football and the Bears will be a different team and they will have a different approach on how a football team wins and losses. I think the Bears are in good hands I guess it depends how the players accept Trestman as he comes in as the new coach. Good luck to the Chicago Bears. As long as Phil Emery doesn’t bring in Sheldon I think the Bears will be fine and dandy.
Chip Kelly Leaves Oregon To Become Eagles Head Coach
The football world as we know it is especially in Eugene Oregon area is gonna be different. Chip Kelly a great offense coach who is heading to Philadelphia, shook up his former team as he took the head coach position in Philadelphia,Oregon University will have to face sanctions and probation, sounds like Pete Carrol and USC all over again. It seems this might be the track record for the PAC 12 schools, you get the best athletes for awhile and then you suffer the consequences later when your top athletes are graduated or off to the NFL.
Well, Chip Kelly is looking forward to the NFL and coaching the Eagles, if the sanctions are handed down soon then we know why Chip Kelly left to go to the NFL, but just like Pete Carrol he should do really well with the Eagles and make the Eagles a contender in the NFC again. I have a feeling that the Philadelphia Eagles will be back on top.
