Taking a stroll thru the LSU Campus, on the way to Tiger Stadium….
The Roadtrip to Oxford,Ms, and Baton Rouge,La……
I just got back from a roadtrip to Oxford,Ms, and Baton Rouge,La. had a good time visitng Ole Miss, and LSU. I went by the LSU Football Front office to say hi to Les Miles, he was out doing the Tiger Tour with new LSU Mens Basketball Head Coach, Johnny Jones. Basically I toured both campuses and took pictures of both stadiums. The Ole Miss Stadium you can walk right in, but the LSU Stadium was locked. I will have pictures on the website soon, if you want to see pictures at this time, stop by daily college football on facebook, and like our web page…. thanks. The food was good in Oxford, I stopped by at The Rib Cage, very good ribs and cole slaw. I drove 28 hours round trip to go visit these two different University’s and also went down to Baton Rouge to visit my family. I had a chance to go to a LSU Baseball Game, with my cousin Darla, and her boyfriend Dean, before the game we met up at a restaurant named Walk-ons by the new Alex Box Stadium, then we went to the game. The Tigers played Nicholls State University, The Colonels took a 2-0 lead on LSU top of the 2nd, but LSU came back and scored five runs, and then in the 6th added a 3 run shot by Mason Katz, to make it 8 to 2 in the 6th inning. The Colonels came back with 4 runs in the 9th inning, but LSU closer Nick Goody came in and struck out the next two batters, and two runners on second and third,to end the game. The fans were sitting on the edge of there seats. Over the weekend LSU took down no.3 South Carolina on the road, 2 games to 3, so LSU Baseball looks pretty good going into the SEC Tournament.I got a chance to visit with my dad, borrow the BMW M Roadster and cruise around the LSU Lakes, what a fun time that was. In high school I always wanted to drive a convertible through the LSU Campus, lots of fun.I got to visit with my nephew Noah for the first time, he can hit a tee ball a mile, I am sure he will start for LSU one day, looking forward to going to that game. Well, I am back in Downers Grove,Ill, going on another roadtrip soon……
Ole Miss / Oxford – VideoTour – Campus Impressions
I went thru Oxford, Ms. stopped by to visit Ole Miss Campus, ate some BBQ at the Rib Cage, ran on the field, and kick a few 30 yard fields goals, at VAUGHT- Hemingway Football Stadium; what a fun day it was to hangout in Oxford. I spoke with some of the students and residents and it’s a nice college town, A couple of students I met at the Rib Cage just graduated at Ole Miss, in Biology and Accounting, we had a nice chat about Oxford; lots of southern hospitality in the Oxford for sure.
