No. 1 Recruit Leonard Fournette Commits to LSU
Five-star RB Leonard Fournette (No. 1 in ESPN 300; New Orleans/St. Augustine) verbally commits to LSU. Fournette also had offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and Texas.
Leonard Fournette – 2013 Highlights
Leonard Fournette the no.1 high school offensive player of the year committed to play at LSU. Fournette is 6ft 1 and 230 lbs of muscle, and is only 17 years of age. In his senior year in the highlights Fournette runs thru and over defenses. In the videos you can see the defense catching up with him and he puts into the 5th gear and he is off to the races. A note to defenses in the NCAA, you better wrap up Fournette or he will not be stopped. LSU Football will be stacked at running backs as usual, with Fournette leading the way they will go far into the playoffs in 2014-15.
Richard Sherman Post Game Interview: Seattle Seahawks cornerback
This video is so funny in many ways. Sherman was very emotional after the game as he scared the Fox lady reporter Erin Andrews, I don’t think she was quite prepared for that response…..LOL. I thought Sherman was letting out some emotion that’s the way the game is played with emotion.
Four LSU Tigers off to the NFL
- Odell Beckham Jr will be returning punts and kickoffs in the NFL.
LSU has 4 offensive players heading off to the NFL. Mettenberger, Hill, Beckham, and Landry. They will be explosive in the NFL especially in picking up many yards and tds. I think Jeremy Hill will run over alot of defenses and make his way into the endzone. Odell Beckham Jr will be returning alot of punts and kickoffs, and perhaps catching some passes as well. Jarvis Landry has a chance to do something really cool in the NFL, perhaps be one of the top receivers like Megatron, Marshall and AJ Green. I see big things for Landry. Zach Mettenberger will probably come off the bench but he will be put in really fast, especially throwing to the NFL Wr, Mettenberger will be able to show his arm strength. I see big things for these four Tigers, all the best to them as they make their way into the NFL.
LSU Basketball loses to Tennessee Volunteers 68-50.
LSU Basketball ran into a competitive Tennessee Basketball team last night as the Tigers lose to the volunteers 68-50. LSU was in the lead early in the game 14-12, but McRae and company took over and took a 30 -20 lead, and then extended the lead to 38 to 24 by halftime. The bright spots for the tigers was LSU: J. Mickey 14 Pts, 4 Reb, 3 Ast, 1 Stl, 5 Blk, and McRae for Tennessee: had 19 Pts, 2 Reb, 5 Ast, 1 Stl, 1 Blk. LSU guards had a rough night combining for 7 pts, 5 Ast, 1 Stl, and 2 To. Johnny Jones will need more production from Hickey and Stringer if LSU is gonna do well down the stretch. LSU will need more height as well especially at the guard position when they face Kentucky and Arkansas.
CS Title Game 2014 – Florida State vs Auburn – Florida State wins 34-31
A very high scoring game as Florida State pulls off the win. The Noles favor by 10 and a half, was down 21 to 3 in the 1st half, and went into the locker room with a 21 to 10 lead. You could see why Auburn had such a lead and began to wonder about Florida State’s schedule and wondering why they were no.1 in the nation, perhaps you wonder why they played a lot of cup cake teams besides Clemson, and wonder if they would bounce back. Winston and the Noles could not even pick up a 1 st down in the latter 1st quarter. At times Winston did not even look like a Heisman Trophy Winner, even through out the game Winston was getting sacked and overthrowing receivers down the field.
The 2nd half rolled around and the Noles scored again making it 21 to 17 and we had a game. The Auburn Offense didn’t score in the 3rd quarter but finally got it going in the 4th quarter with the game on the line.Tre Mason gave the Tigers a 31-27 lead with a 37-yard touchdown run with 1:19 left after Levonte Whitfield had put Florida State in the lead for the first time since the first quarter with a 100-yard kickoff return to make it 27-24 with 4:31 left.
“Only thing is we’re victorious and glad to say Florida State is the national champion again, and I guarantee you we’re bringing that swag back,” Winston said. “You’d better believe it.” Well Winston also almost lost that swag, favor by 101/2 points and and have to score 21 points in the 4th quarter to secure the game, with a 100 yard run by Whitfield put the Noles back in contention.
RB Jeremy Hill’s running style is compared to Charles Alexander.
Jeremy Hill had a supreme season on his final year as a LSU Tiger with 1,169 yards of rushing, and 14 tds.Having a chance to cover LSU Football he was a running back in the SEC that could not be stopped. I remember at the Auburn vs LSU game Hill broke open down the field for a big long touchdown run as he put LSU up,and it was another td run by Hill that put LSU out in front of Auburn. The only team to beat Auburn this year was LSU.Jeremy will do really well in the NFL as he is a north and south runner, basically a downhill runner. There is another back who played for LSU that compares to Hill, that would be Charles Alexander who played for LSU back in 1977.
Charles Alexander was a four-year letterwinner on the LSU Tigers football team. He was selected as a first-team All-American and All-SEC in 1977 and 1978. In 1977 he was selected the SEC Most Valuable Player by the Nashville Banner. Alexander set nine SEC records, tied one and set 27 LSU records during his college career. He still holds the LSU records for most rushes in a game (43), most yards in a season (1,686) and most yards gained per game in a season (153.3).[2]
Alexander set two Sun Bowl rushing records, carrying 31 times for 197 yards, as he won Offensive Player of the Game honors in the 1977 Sun Bowl. Despite Alexander’s efforts, LSU fell to Stanford 24-14. He played his last game as a Tiger in the 1978 Liberty Bowl. Alexander gained 133 yards on 24 carries in the 20-15 loss to Missouri. In 1989, Alexander was inducted into the LSU Athletic Hall of Fame.
Jeremy Hill can really send his draft stock really high if he has a real big game against Iowa. That would put LSU over the hump to get a big production from Hill, perhaps 150 yards of rushing and 3 tds.
Lions WR Megatron will teach rookie Ravens Matt Elam some old school come monday night.
Matt Elam the Ravens safety will be in a lot of trouble come monday night, especially after calling Megatron old. Matt Elam is a product of the young public of today. Well on monday night the old school will teach the new school that’s for sure. Come monday night the youngster will respect Megatron, that’s for sure. I see this game as a blowout, I got the Lions blowing out the Ravens for monday night football. The last 2 monday night games have been blowouts, might as well add another one. The rookie Elam did a lot of talking at Florida too, but this rookie has spoke too soon. The cool thing about Megatron he doesn’t talk, he just goes on the field and play football, that’s about it. I think the rookie Elam will learn a lot after monday night. It usually takes 3 tacklers to bring down Megatron, Elam is about 5’10 weighs 210 lbs. Elam has 48 tackles (36 solo), one fumble recovery, and two pass defenses through 12 games.
Matt Elam on comments about Megatron.“He’s pretty old, so I don’t know how physical he’ll be,” Elam said. “He’s a big guy, but he’s older. I guess when they get older they’re not going to be as physical, you know what I’m saying? We’re going to have to be physical, make him uncomfortable.”
“I’m getting old,” Johnson said in a conference call Thursday with Baltimore reporters. “It’s all good. I’ll show him what that old man’s strength [is] about, though.”
“It doesn’t surprise me because he don’t have to see me on the field,” Johnson said. “So he can talk all he wants. He plays back, and I don’t see him every play unless I run past him. I’m not worried about it.”
He can talk all he wants. He plays back, and I don’t see him every play unless I run past him. I’m not worried about it. ”— Lions receiver Calvin Johnson, on Ravens rookie safety Matt Elam
Auburn Tigers makes it to Pasadena,California to face Florida State for the BCS Title
College Football Fans looks like we have two teams officially going to Pasadena California. Yes it is Auburn and Florida State. Auburn waited patiently to get into the BCS Championship Game, my question is does Auburn really want to face Florida State. FSU has a great defense and a high power offense. I guess we will find out soon enough how Auburn plays against Florida State. This game might result in a blowout because Auburn has no defense, and Florida State has a great defense, all Auburn can hope for would be a shoot out then they could compete. If Jimbo Fisher follows LSU’s game plan on how to beat Auburn, since LSU is the only team to beat Auburn this year then the Seminoles have the BCS Title wrapped up. The Auburn Tigers do one thing only and that is run the ball, shut down the run and Auburn is done, their wideouts are too small so they cannot decide a game, that’s the game plan Jimbo a former LSU Asst Coach who took FSU back to glory. Good luck to both teams, but I am gonna go put $100 down on the Noles to win it all. Cheers !

Nelson Mandela passed away and is leaving a Legacy behind. Being in prison for his beliefs for 27 years finally let out of prison he changed the South African politics for good.Mandela’s inauguration took place in Pretoria on 10 May 1994, televised to a billion viewers globally. The event was attended by 4000 guests, including world leaders from disparate backgrounds.South Africa’s first black President, Mandela became head of a Government of National Unity dominated by the ANC – which alone had no experience of governance – but containing representatives from the National Party and Inkatha. Moving into the presidential office at Tuynhuys in Cape Town, Mandela allowed de Klerk to retain the presidential residence in the Groote Schuur estate, instead settling into the nearby Westbrooke manor, which he renamed “Genadendal”, meaning “Valley of Mercy” in Afrikaans.Retaining his Houghton home, he also had a house built in his home village of Qunu, which he visited regularly, walking around the area, meeting with locals, and judging tribal disputes.
LSU QB Anthony Jennings talks about the final drive and the win over Arkansas
LSU QB Anthony Jennings talks about how Coach Miles and Zach Mettenberger has helped him with his career so far and to prepare him for the last drive against the Arkansas Razorbacks. Jennings look like Joe Montana as he led LSU down the field starting on the 1 yard line by throwing precise passes, and scampering 27 yards down the field to set up the winning pass to LSU WR Travin Dural.
