Good to be back in Bayou Country —– – “Ah-ee !
It’s great to be back in Baton Rouge covering LSU Football in 2013. I believe it’s gonna be a very good season for the Tigers and with the addition of Cam Cameron coming on board LSU will be a better football team in the process. I wonder what Les Miles and Cam Cameron have cooking up for the Tiger Fans, I wonder what Les has up his sleeves. I think the LSU Fans will have a lot to look forward too, kinda of like the 2007 season. Les has a lot of weapons on offense, 4 running backs,with Alfred Blue leading the way and 3 top recievers,Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham,Jr and Travin Dural, a talented tight end, Travis Dickson, and a Top SEC Quarterback, Zack Mettenberger. Dailycollegefootball.com is looking forward to the LSU Football Home games, and will be making trips to Dallas, Mississippi for both games, and possible the Georgia game and Alabama game, it should be a fun season. I think if LSU beats Georgia and goes undefeated into the Alabama game, the Tigers have a good chance of washing up the Tide. LSU has a lot of respect for Alabama that’s for sure. If LSU would have beaten Bama last year in Tiger Stadium the Tigers would have played Notre Dame for the BCS Title Game, so LSU was pretty much one game away from the BCS Title, I know, I know settle down Georgia Fans; LSU would have won in the Georgia Dome. I think the Georgia Fans have a lot on their plate this year especially playing South Carolina and Mr. Clowney. I believe that’s all Mark Richt is talking about until after they play South Carolina. I would have a lot of nice things to say about Mr.Clowney as well if I was playing them, I would send him all you can eat pizza vouchers from Pizza Hut, anything to distract Mr. Clowney from sacking Aaron Murray through-out the game. If LSU Football goes undefeated this season it will be a major celebration in Bayou Country——- “Ah-ee !

There he meets up with Wyatt Earp and they try to restore law, but it won’t be easy especially with all the cowboys in town with red sashes who pretty much run the town until Doc and Wyatt decides to team up and put a stop to the unlawful cowboys.

Parrains Seafood Restaurant, a great choice for dinner
I went to Parrains Seafood Restaurant last night to catch some preseason monday night football,and I sat and watch the rookie Bengals beat the Falcons 34 to 10; In the process I had some broiled shrimp, and hush puppies and got good service from the bartender, Joe, with polite customer service. I met a Texas AM Fan, Darren Hall who has been a fan for many years, we talked about the rivalry that AM and the Tigers had in the early 80’s, so lets give a shout out to Darren Hall and the Aggies.
If you want some good seafood and oysters head over to Parrains, they will even shuckle the oysters right in front of you as you watch. Parrains is located off Perkins,rd in Baton Rouge, La. a couple of miles from the LSU Campus.

TCU coach Gary Patterson’s criticizes of LSU coach Les Miles for reinstating running back Jeremy Hill after his teammates voted to allow him to return to the team. Basically coach Patterson suspended his star player DE Devonte Fields and thinks that Les Miles should of did the same, but Patterson shouldn’t be worried about Hill, he better focus his defense on Alfred Blue, Kenny Hillard coming out of the backfield. The presence of Cam Cameron calling the plays is gonna open up the LSU Offense especially with the speedsters on the receiving end with Landry, Beckham,Jr and Dural.
Johnny Manziel’s Family hires a lawyer
Johnny Manziel’s family hired A attorney named Jim Darnell with experience in NCAA matters as the Heisman Trophy winner reportedly faces an investigation into whether he was paid to sign autographs.The Manziel family said in a statement that Jim Darnell would be representing the Texas A&M quarterback.If Johnny Football hired a attorney that means he might be guilty. I would say this is a interesting concept.It has been reported that Manziel was signing autographs during the BCS Title Game last year between Alabama and Notre Dame.
Jim Darnell says he has never worked with the Manziels. He says he has covered numerous NCAA cases.He has represented Baylor when its basketball program was sanctioned in the early 2000s and former Southern California basketball coach Tim Floyd.The results in those cases especially with Tim Floyd as O.J. Mayo dodged sanctions as Mayo he declared for the NBA Draft. It looks like in this case Johnny Football will dodge the NCAA penalties and be able to play in the 2013 season. If Johnny Football doesn’t watch his image he can get kicked off the team just like Tyrann Devin Mathieu.I would recommend Johnny be good and to focus on football and get ready for the NFL.

I was not planning on to stop working 9 to 5 but it came available so I starting blogging on my current website and been waiting for a chance to seize other ventures. Someday it would be good to take a leap of faith and see what happens when you step out and start your own business.
DCF back in Southern California for a visit.
DCF is back in Palm Desert, California where we launch the site back in june 2011. It’s good to be back in the desert lots of memories here that’s for sure. There’s plenty of mountains and palm trees here year round, and the weather is not so hot, this is sort of mild summer. The beach is just an hour away, L.A. is about 2 hours away with traffic. L.A. is known for the capital of entertainment in the U.S., I would say they are right, their are tons of things to do. The USC and UCLA battle is just heating up especially last season after UCLA drubbed there cross town rivals.Jim L. Mora has the Bruins going in a right direction, I wonder how the game between the two arch rivals is gonna turn out this year. USC lost their starting quarterback to the NFL Draft as Matt Barkley went 4th round to the Eagles, imagine that Chip Kelly drafting a USC quarterback.
In the college football world today they are saying Alabama is gonna repeat, and Ohio State will be there to challenge them. I guess even with Alabama’s soft schedule they still need to play Texas AM on the road, and LSU at home, and if they make it to the SEC Title Game they will face Georgia or South Carolina, and then the BCS Title Game, so that’s quite of a road to win a third national title. The feeling everyone is getting if Saban wins again he will retire after this season. Saban is not gonna see another quarterback like AJ McCarron to come thru his system so he might want to retire after McCarron goes to the NFL.

In the baseball world today there are a lot of reports that tie in with football, especially with Aaron Rogers backing up Ryan Braun, according to Rogers,he was gonna bet his whole salary on Brauns image and character. Well, after the report from this morning from the MLB, I wonder how Rogers feels about his salary now, which was 6.4 million last year. According to Skip Bayless he needs to give up the 6.4 million, according to Steven A, it was a push button tweet, tongue in cheek that did it, but not to give up the 6.4 million dollars. Skip says nope he needs to pay up, or give it to charity.Stephen A asked Skip are you on drugs, are you on drugs,lol. I used to go to the LSU Basketball games back in the 1980’s and to see Don Redden play and shoot the lights out of the ball. I remember he would take it to the hole with the big guys. MVP of the regional tournament in 1986, LSU made a incredible run to the final four. I got a chance to meet Tim Johnson, Don Redden’s roommate, at Walk-ons satuday night in Baton Rouge, he express to me his friendship with Don Redden and how Don was a good friend.
I played a lot of basketball growing up in Louisiana, never played college, moved to California and played a lot of basketball in Cally, played three years of semi pro in the San Francisco Pro-Am League 1995-97, I have to attribute my basketball skills to Don Redden, outside shooting, passing the ball, and playing team ball. Redden was very similar to John Stockton, very fundamental ball player, great on defense, and a great outside shooter.
