A big game by no.21 Stanford as Josh Nunes guided his team to victory. Nunes after playing high school football in Upland,Ca not too far from the L.A. surprise no.2 USC with a defeat as Stephen Talyor ran up and down the field with over 200 yards and 2 tds. Nunes gave credit to the O LINE as he was asked if he made a name for himself tonight, he directed it back to the team.Team ball wins games. It seemed if Matt Barkely was gonna pull a rabbit out of his pocket as USC drove down the field especially on a 4 down and 19,and USC Lee caught the ball as he step out of bounds to continue the drive, but USC got in more trouble going 2 and 12, to 3rd and 33 and then 4th and 40 as Barkley threw the ball down the field to try to pick up a 1st down. USC was 3 out of 4 on 4th down conversions til the last incomplete 4th down conversion. Nunes came in and took a knee to end the game as time ran out on the clock.Barkley got sacked 5 times.

Notre Dame 50 Navy Shipmen 10, in Dublin,Ireland
The Irish win the first game of the 2012 season in the Emerald Isle Classic at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, 50-10 against Navy. Notre Dame was led by its ground game of Theo Riddick (108 yards, 2 touchdowns) and George Atkinson III (99 yards, 2 touchdowns).
There should be something said about beating teams 50 to 10,for Notre Dame to put up 50 points on the score board that means they are gonna be very hard to beat this year if they continue to play like they did in Ireland.Keep up the scoring and the winning Irish and see what kind of bowl you will be in at the end of the year. Cheers.
Alabama 41 Michigan 14, kickoff classic in Arlington,Tx
The wait is over the 2012 season is here and Alabama creamed Michigan without their top running back Fitz Toussaint’s and defensive end Frank Clark.Alabama came out and started putting points on the board from the release of the first quarter as they took a 21 to 0 lead, Michael Williams with a 2 yd catch, and DeAndrew White hauled in a 51 yd pass from A.J. McCarron.Eddie Lacy and T.J. Yeldon both had touchdown runs and C.J. Mosley had a 16 yd touchdown interception, but the funny thing about it, the Michigan receiver was not in the area when Mosley made the interception,if you go back and look at the replay the receiver got knocked out-of-bounds by the Alabama cornerback. The referee did not make a call, and resulted in an interception touchdown for the Crimson Tide.Being a former receiver in high school I enjoyed the chair route ran by DeAndrew White as he loss the Michigan defender as he cut and slant and turned up field and A.J. McCarron threw the ball right on the money, and the Michigan secondary could not recover as White outran the defenders to the endzone. The Crimson Tide racked up over 600 yrds on total offense, that is a lot of yards.I do think Clark and Toussaint’s would of made a hugh difference for Michigan in the offense and defense department.Denard Robinson had a 6 yrd run td, and a 44 yrd pass td to Devin Gardner for the 2 touchdowns for the Wolverines.
